G.R. Pratt Co. is a small woodworking studio
focused on creating custom furniture, cabinetry, and
millwork with integrity, precision, and a personal
touch. Every project is thoughtfully built to fit the space, the client, and the life around it.
I’ve been working with wood for a while now, starting out as a craftsman doing high-end residential and commercial installations around the Tampa area. It was good work that gave me a solid grasp of the trade, but I eventually wanted to focus entirely on fine woodworking.
That led me to the Florida School of Woodwork. I spent a few years in their certificate program learning the deeper details of the craft, and these days, I actually teach some classes there alongside running my own independent studio.
My primary focus is collaborating with clients to design and build custom furniture and cabinetry for their homes and businesses. I enjoy sculptural woodworking whether it be furniture or “ars gratia artis” art for arts sake. Gallery work keeps me excited and always pushing my limits of creativity.
